What you'll be doing
The role of service support and outcomes manager extends beyond outcome measures (and PRMs), including subject matter expertise in brain injury (adults and paediatrics) covering clinician training and education, interpretation of data within the brain injury clinical setting, and assisting to evolve clinical practice in the brain injury setting in clinician and consumer engagement. The role also provides ongoing support around person centred practice, goal setting and outcome measures in other related ACI networks.

The role requires analysis of the data to drive high quality clinical practices and consumer, family/carer best practice on a state-wide basis. The Service Support and Outcomes Manager is responsible for the delivery of the network outcomes management plan and primary engagement of clinicians working in the NSW Brain Injury Rehabilitation Program (BIRPs).
The person will work closely with the network to drive clinical innovation, the translation of evidence into everyday practices and prioritise areas that may benefit from improvement.  This will include engagement of local clinicians, consumers, families and carers in collaborative partnerships.

The Service Support and Outcomes Manager has dual reporting and accountability lines to Clinical Information and Decision Support (CIDS) and BIRD. This role will work collaboratively with all ACI Portfolios, the Ministry for Health, Local Health Districts, Hospitals and health professionals to facilitate contribution to the evaluation and knowledge translation process.

The position will be based at the offices of the ACI Brain Injury Rehabilitation Directorate Level 2 Ingham Institute of Applied Medial Research, Liverpool  and a regular presence at 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards at the ACI. The position includes travel to metropolitan and rural BIRP and other locations with occasional overnight stays. Pandemic restrictions may influence this component of the position, with complementary skills in running virtual/video-teleconference contact required.

  5. High level verbal and written communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to build, maintain, and use relationships with stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
  6. An understanding of project management and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to deliver a high standard of implementing and measuring outcomes
