About this role

An exciting opportunity exists to join our sustainability team and lead a food waste reduction project across our Network.

 

Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN) is transitioning to a low carbon, low waste, climate resilient health service and has committed to achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2035 for emissions it controls.

 

Waste is a key focus area in SCHN’s Net Zero pathway, with the objective to reduce waste generated and maximise resource recovery and reuse opportunities. Food waste is one of the priority waste streams identified.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage the delivery of a food waste reduction education and training program to diverse stakeholders across the SCHN in partnership with key stakeholder organisations

  • Project management and documentation across all project phases

  • Project monitoring and evaluation, including the analysis and reporting of data

  • Devise and implement strategies to ensure successful embedding, acceptance and sustainability of change initiatives

 

About you:

We are seeking a motivated and committed individual with the below skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in project management or change management

  • Demonstrated high quality organisational skills, ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, consult and negotiate effectively with stakeholders 

  • High level analytical and problem-solving skills

  • High level verbal and written communication skills 

  • NSW Government experience highly desirable
