- Demonstrated experience as a Wardsperson or other relevant role within a patient centred care environment or the ability to perform patient care activities and transportation of patients in beds/wheelchairs.
- Proven understanding of Infection Control policies and procedures
- Possess literacy skills including the ability to read and follow instructions, duty lists and policies and report hazards and incidents as required
- Demonstrated experience working in a people orientated environment and the ability to work effectively with in a multidisciplinary team.
- Proven ability to communicate with a variety of patients, visitors, staff, managers and an understanding of confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse physically challenging position/workload
- Demonstrated knowledge of Health and Safety, in particular Manual Handling
