SIT - AMB AO-SOCO

1. Applicants must hold all required certifications, licences, registrations and qualifications (including but not limited to current Certificate to Practice, registration as a paramedic, and a current NSW Driver Licence) and be currently certified as a Paramedic or Paramedic Specialist and undertake necessary and relevant training and work experience as determined by NSW Ambulance
2. A sound knowledge of NSW Ambulance Operations and a comprehensive understanding of NSW Ambulance organisation and policy.
3. A comprehensive knowledge of CAD, data base, spreadsheet and word processing software packages and an understanding of Protocols, Pharmacology's and Procedures as applied by Paramedics.
4. Ability to manage and supervise staff with effective decision making skills.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral and the ability to work as a team member in a critical environment.
6. The ability to solve complex operational problems and implement solutions in time critical situations
7. Demonstrated people management skills, including providing staff support, staff development, performance management and the early identification of unacceptable workplace behaviours and taking appropriate action such as investigation, resolution and monitoring of harassment and bullying, grievance issues and conflict resolution.
8. Evidence of successful completion of AMQ and Forward Commanders course.
