Eligibility for AASW membership with significant post graduate experience in social work practice with families and children and/or in health context.

Substantial post graduate experience in social work practice with children and their families.
-
A well-developed knowledge of the psycho-social challenges facing families in the relevant clinical area and a sound knowledge of relevant community resources and support services available to the children and families.

Significant post graduate experience in a variety of social work interventions/modalities including psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, case management, counselling, group work.
-
Excellent demonstrated interpersonal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
-
Demonstrated skills and experience in clinical supervision, professional education activities, service planning, and quality improvement activities.
-
Competent computer skills and ability to adapt to new IT systems.

Capacity to share after hours and weekend on call duties – as required.

Applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate.
ASARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) 3 doses are required for Category A positions (refer to NSW Policy Directive PD2022_030 Occupational Assessment Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases).
ASARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) 3 doses are highly recommended for all other health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
Please note: To be eligible for permanent appointment to a position in NSW Health, you must have an Australian citizenship or permanent Australian residency.
