What you'll be doing

Responsible for the comprehensive high-level executive management of the Office of HETI, this position is responsible for the coordination of all activities of the CE's Office through effective diary and scheduling. The position will be the first point of contact for enquiries to the CE's Office as to availability, meeting requests, event attendance and will be responsible for ensuring effective communication among Ministry of Health, other central agencies and ministerial offices. The position will also be responsible for coordinating all paper and electronic document management that require action by the office of HETI.
The position will also play a key role in secretariat functions including agenda setting and monitoring of the key Chief Executive committees.
The position also plays a pivotal role in communication among key internal and external groups, in particular the Ministry of Health, other central agencies and ministerial officers. Communication must be timely, accurate and be mindful of key legislative requirements. The position will work closely with the HETI Portfolios to ensure that information is provided to the Office of HETI in a timely and appropriate manner.

  • Superior knowledge and understanding of the Corporate Governance within NSW Health
  • High level Microsoft Office applications and. information management systems experience, including web content management systems and records management systems (TRIM).
  • Demonstrated competency to work in a complex environment to make decisions to drive and implement processes and change.
  • Organizational and management skills of a high level with ability to effectively set priorities, meet deadlines, demonstrate flexibility and show initiatives.
  • Capacity to exercise creative and entrepreneurial solutions to improve productivity and effectiveness for the Chief Executive Office.
  • Demonstrated high level of leadership, communication and interpersonal skills including effective and efficient external liaison services on behalf of the Chief Executive.
  • Experience in the preparation of correspondence, reports, briefing papers, agendas, business papers and taking minutes of meetings.
