What you'll be doing

This is an exciting, once in a career opportunity to join the new statewide workforce pool known as ‘CRU’, the Central Resource Unit (CRU) that will provide nursing and midwifery, allied-health and non-clinical staff to locations across the whole of NSW Health. 

We are looking for Registered Midwives to provide quality and contemporary woman centered,  evidenced based midwifery care in a variety of hospital and facility settings, collaborating with individuals and multidisciplinary health care teams.

Where you'll be working

The CRU Registered Midwife workforce will be deployed to locations for anywhere between two and thirteen weeks to support short-term staffing needs. You will have the opportunity to work across a variety of health settings when on deployment.

Selection Criteria

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife.
  • Recent experience and demonstrated ability to practice as a midwife in the areas of antenatal, labour, birth and postnatal care, lactation, and infant feeding care.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Current drivers’ licence with capacity and willingness to travel to NSW Health business and service locations throughout NSW which will include overnight stays in regional / remote areas. These deployments will make up the majority of your time in the position.
  • Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reflect the CORE Values of the organisation, Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment with all stakeholders.
