NSLHD - Career Medical Officer - Chief Medical Information Officer

1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Applicants should have a minimum of five years post-graduate experience with previous clinical experience in Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Orthopaedics and/or General Practice.
2. Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
3. Previous experience in the selection, installation and use of large and complex enterprise wide clinical information systems
4. Demonstrates effective problem solving and conflict resolution skills and the ability to make decisions and follow-through in an assertive and respectful style
5. Demonstrates a proactive approach in presenting new technology or expanding existing clinical applications that align with key business strategies and Northern Sydney LHD business objectives that will drive improvements in clinical quality, cost effectiveness and patient/staff satisfaction
6. Facilitates and manages effective change in a creative and positive manner consistent with the Northern Sydney LHD direction
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of clinical staff
8. Demonstration of current practice in the relevant clinical discipline and demonstrated ability to lead and work within a multidisciplinary team environment
