Moree Hospital is currently searching for Food & Cleaning Assistants.

Our Food & Cleaning roles are based in hospitals and multi-purpose services across NSW. In these roles you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of hospital patients across NSW. Your responsibilities will include:

  • taking patient meal orders
  • preparing and distributing meals
  • recording patient intake
  • dishwashing
  • restocking linen and stores
  • waste removal
  • maintaining a clean and hygienic environment in accordance with infection control procedures

Eligibility Requirements

  •  Meet essential requirements as outlined in the Position Description and ensure they are referenced in answers to targeted   questions, or in your resume. 
  • All our roles require candidates to have Australian work rights (Australian citizens, permanent residents, valid work visa). Only Australian citizens and permanent residents are considered for permanent roles, and we do encourage those on a visa to apply for our temporary and casual roles.
  • This is a NSW Health Category A position which requires immunisation and screening for Tuberculosis (TB). The full list of required vaccinations are outlined in the NSW Health OASV Policy (Page 11). You will be required to complete the OASV Undertaking/ Declaration Form and TB Assessment Tool during the recruitment process. Please upload this with your application along with any other vaccination evidence that you may have.

Please note: Your current vaccination status will not impact your application. The Staff Health Team will access your AIR record if needed, please advise if you prefer the team not to view your vaccination record.

COVID-19 Vaccination Compliance

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed an up-to-date course of a COVID-19 vaccine (2 doses for Category A roles) which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the COVID-19 vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate.
