Summary of the role:

The Allied Health department provides services to both inpatient and community programs.  The team consists of physiotherapists, OTs, dietitian, social workers and Allied Health Assistants.   This position requires an occupational therapist to work as part of the multidisciplinary team within Mercy Health which provides an Allied Health Service to the older person

  • Mercy Health Albury - community transitional aged care program
  • Permanent hours & fixed term contract hours until 30th June 2023
  • Part time 64 hours per fortnight
  • Level 1 or 2 (dependent on experience - new graduates welcomed)
  • Salary range $68,255 - $95,298 (pro rata, excluding superannuation)
  • Provide quality client-focused OT services to the patients, their families and others.
  • Assessment and interventions for older clients in a community/outpatient setting using evidence-based practice

 

ABOUT YOU:

  • Bachelor degree or higher in occupational therapy with current AHPRA registration

  • Experience working as an OT, preferably with experience in aged care field desirable.

  • High level communication skills -verbal, written

  • Understanding of complex care for older people and interest in the aged population - including equipment prescription, home modifications, cognitive changes.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team, including utilising AHAs.
