About the role:

In this Administration role, you will support the RAC-I and HITH clinical teams by handling all calls and enquiries, as well as providing comprehensive Administration assistance as required.

RAC-I operates as a 7-day service and we are expanding our Administration team to include weekend coverage. We are seeking a suitably experienced Administration Officer who can work independently with minimal support on Saturdays and Sundays.

In addition you will provide Administration support to the HITH service on both Saturday and Sunday.

This role may also include the potential to work on public holidays.

This position reports directly to the Nurse Manager for Hospital in the Home Services.

Where you’ll be working:

  • Residential Aged Care In Reach program sits within the Hospital in the Home Service (HITH) providing support to the Residential Aged Care facilities within the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Port Stephen’s LGA’s.
  • HITH is a multidisciplinary team that provides clinical care to clients in their own homes after a recent hospitalisation. It is a well-established model of care that supports safe and continuing clinical care at home.

About you:

  • You will be a highly motivated individual capable of working both collaboratively and independently.
  • You will need to be capable of working with limited supervision and minimal support in an after-hours environment.
  • You will be highly organised, adept at working with technology and skilled at maintaining strong working relationships within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Current or recent administrative experience within an NSW Health service would be beneficial.
  • You will have a current NSW driver’s licence and willingness to travel for work purposes.

  • An eligibility list will be created for future temporary part time vacancies.
  • Interviews are tentatively scheduled for the week commencing Monday 16th September 2024.
