- Experience in dealing with people’s responses and reactions to life stressors (both work and non-work related).
- Demonstrated ability to act with a high degree of integrity, and to provide non-judgemental and confidential support and referral.
- Demonstrated resilience and self-care practices, and the ability to manage competing time demands and responsibilities.
- Knowledge of staff support and community based support services that are available to staff at NSW Ambulance and the ability to undertake initiatives to raise awareness of staff support and increase staff morale.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and think clearly and logically in stressful situations.
- Demonstrated strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise with all levels of management and other support services as required.
- Good understanding of the core business of NSW Ambulance, and is well respected within the organisation and among their peers.
