What you'll be doing
To perform a range of laboratory tests and technical tasks both independently and as directed, by applying established methods and procedures to contribute to the efficient operation of the Unit, and consequently to the creation of better health and justice systems in NSW.
- Minimum Diploma in Laboratory Technology or an equivalent qualification relevant to analytical or forensic science to which the role applies.
- Demonstrated understanding and practical knowledge of relevant technical laboratory skills and instrumentation.
- Sound computer literacy skills including Microsoft Office applications and ability to use information management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to individually contribute in a team environment to deliver outcomes within specified timeframes.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with clients as well as other staff.
- Capability to display initiative, problem solving and analytical skills including an ability to follow procedures when investigating general issues.
- Demonstrated capacity to adopt and model the NSWHP RITE values of Respect, Integrity, Teamwork and Excellence.
