Join our dedicated team as a Surgical Booking Officer at Campbelltown Hospital where your coordination skills directly support patient care and timely surgical services. As a Surgical Bookings Officer, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring accurate waitlist management, well‑organised theatre schedules, and smooth communication across clinical teams — helping deliver safe, efficient care to the Campbelltown community.
- Work within a busy and expanding theatre department
- Assist with managing the Campbelltown Hospital surgical waitlist
- Organise and coordinate theatre lists
- Liaise effectively with doctors, nurses, patients, and district services
- Support the team in providing a timely and efficient service to the community

- Excellent attention to detail with strong decision‑making capability

- Confident computer user with experience in digital systems and office software
- Provide high‑quality customer service to patients, visitors, carers and staff
- Monday–Friday role supporting administrative functions for all patients presenting to Admissions/Elective Surgical Waitlist
Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
- Previous experience in hospital front line service and or health care systems, with demonstrated developed interpersonal skills including ability to communicate effectively with internal & external stakeholders both verbally and written.
- Sound knowledge of NSW Ministry of Health policy and procedures relating to Waitlist Managements and proficient use of Patient Administration Systems and medical terminology.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously while applying problem solving, decision-making and negotiation skills in a high-pressure, busy and demanding environment.
Demonstrated computer literacy including efficient keyboard and data entry skills with accuracy and attention to detail. Show an ability to maintain electronic and hard copy documents / data bases.
