What you'll be doing
As the primary SQL Database Administrator you will need to build and manage SQL servers in a Windows environment both on premises (virtual (ESX) and physical) and in Azure, covering all operating systems and SQL versions.
Some of the tasks that you will be performing will be Migration of databases, Always-On, TDE, Backup management, Performance tuning, database Integrity, Security management along with liaising with all relevant stakeholders.
Prepare and maintain new and existing documentation relating to system configurations and procedures. Additionally, you must have experience in Active Directory, VMware, and Citrix.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Outline your experience in SQL TDE implementation and explain some of the issues you have experienced implementing it.
- Explain your experience of SQL clustering, including its advantages and disadvantages in a VMWare and Physical environment.
- Provide examples of your experience with VMWare, Windows OS and SQL installations including issues and resolutions you have experienced in administering / upgrading them.
