What you'll be doing
The purpose of this position is to deliver audit and staff training requirements for Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) across the LHD - The incumbent will conduct audits and train, mentor and assess staff to support the achievement and maintenance of prescribed KPIs, including cleaning and hygiene standards.
Auditing functions include auditing for compliance with standards and legislative requirements including environmental cleaning, waste and safety.
Training functions include delivering initial training and induction to all new Environmental Services employees, undertaking competency assessments, providing ongoing refresher training and supporting mandatory training for Environmental Services staff, and also providing training to other staff within the scope of Environmental Services and Infection prevention and control functions.
The position also supports other administrative functions within the Infection Prevention and Control Team, including maintenance of the environmental cleaning auditing data base and recruitment and training support to Environmental Services.

  3. Demonstrated knowledge of current industry standards relating to all aspects of Environmental Services.
  4. Experience developing, reviewing and implementing policies, systems and work practices to improve service delivery.
  5. Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering staff training and assessment programs.
  6. Sound communication skills including ability to communicate with a broad range of people and sound written skills including report writing.
  7. Sound computer skills, including use of mobile device for auditing.
  8. Current unencumbered driver's licence
