What you'll be doing


To provide management and clinical leadership to the team / unit and ensure the provision of appropriate, well planned and coordinated services to clients that reflect current standards of nursing practices.  


ORGANISATION ENVIRONMENT


The Central Resource Unit (CRU) supports the NSW Health workforce. CRU provides a variety of nursing, allied health and non-clinical staff to locations across NSW Health Hospitals and facilities.  


The team supports local communities to maintain health workforce in a variety of health settings. CRU provides a unique opportunity to experience remote and regional NSW with lifestyle and career experience benefits.

  1. Current Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  2. Proven operational / clinical management knowledge and skills in a relevant setting that demonstrate an ability to support and coordinate ward/unit activities in the care of patients.
  3. Proven ability to ensure the human, physical and financial resources of the ward/unit are managed to deliver safe and efficient health care within available resources.
  4. Demonstrated ability to function within and lead a nursing team within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  5. Proven written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills relevant to the role responsibilities.
  6. Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to use a variety of computer applications.
  7. Current drivers’ licence with capacity and willingness to travel to NSW Health business and service locations throughout NSW which will include overnight stays in regional / remote areas. These deployments will make up the majority of your time in the position.
