What you'll be doing
The Director is responsible for establishingdirecting and managing the development and implementation of the Single Digital Patient Record (SDPR) program. The SDPR is one of the most significant digital / ICT investments undertaken in NSW Health to date. The SDPR will support better patient engagement, outcomes and continuity of care across the NSW Health services and promote and support patient safety and clinical excellence. The Director is responsible and accountable for leading the statewide implementation of a full Electronic Medical Record (eMR), Patient Administration System (PAS) and, in partnership with NSW Health Pathology, a new Laboratory Information System (LIS) through a staged migration and consolidation to a single platform.  This involves a program of work with partners across Local Health Districts (LHD) and Specialty Health Networks (SHN), and with relevant vendor partner .
The Director provides high level expert advice to the Chief Executives, senior Executives, and clinicians on all implementation and governance issues, and works collaboratively with other members of the eHealth and LHD Executives, and key stakeholders, to analyse, maintain and improve clinical quality and efficiency across the LHDs and the NSW Health system. The SDPR will enable NSW Health to transform eMR delivery from current fragmented eMR solutions and modernise our eMR domains, by integrating the current, geographically fragmented eMR architecture into a state-wide view centred on patients.
