The Clinical Trials Coordinator (CTC) is a key member of the Cancer Centre for Children Clinical Trial Unit at the Children's Hospital at Westmead. This is a full-time on-site position. This role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of cancer-focused clinical research, ensuring that studies are conducted in compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, ethical standards, and protocol requirements. They act as the central link between investigators, sponsors, and participants, managing the entire lifecycle of a trial from initiation to close-out.

Key Qualifications and Skills
• Education: A degree in Nursing, Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Previous experience in clinical research or oncology is highly regarded.
• Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, self-driven, proficiency in medical terminology, and strong communication skills.
• Knowledge: Good understanding of Australian clinical trial guidelines and regulatory requirements.

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience in clinical trials, or a combination of study and work experience.
- Developed and effective written and verbal communication skills with interpersonal and problem-solving capabilities to work autonomously across all aspects of a clinical trial and as part of a multidisciplinary team with demonstrated ability to work with sensitive issues.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to work in accordance with key underpinning frameworks and principles in clinical trials, including GCP and the National Clinical Trials Governance Framework.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise autonomy and initiative in relation to day-to-day problem solving, communication and decision making.
- Strong computer skills and willingness to utilise existing and new systems for clinical trials project management and data including electronic data capture systems.
- Project, time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise, have attention to detail, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a highly paced environment.
- Experience and confidence working independently and as a member of different trial teams, with persons of varying seniority, clinical trial experience and background.
- Demonstrate a culture of quality and patient safety in clinical research.
