What you'll be doing
The Payroll and Employee Services Team Leader (Executive staff) is an operational lead role within the Payroll and Employee Services Unit and is responsible for successfully leading and managing team members and service requirements for the provision of a professional customer focused transactional service.
TThe primary focus of the role is the delivery of payroll services for Executive staff in addition to general payroll.
  • Significant knowledge and experience interpreting the Public Finance and Audit Act, Treasurer's Directions, and terms and conditions of employment pursuant to public sector legislation, regulations, awards and procedures covering leave, salary payment, remuneration packaging, superannuation, separations, taxation and workers compensation etc. As well as the capacity to interpret NSW public hospital awards and agreements,
  • Extensive knowledge and experience working with Senior Executive Service (SES) and Health Executive Service (HES) contracts.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills, including the ability to analyse and interpret information from different sources to pro-actively identify issues and formulate strategies to address them,
  • Sound experience in the application of HRIS (CHRIS2 and the integration of such systems to other third party applications utilising strong technical, systems based and electronic file management skills,
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with excellent interpersonal and client relationship management skills with the capacity to deal confidently, professionally and confidentially with employees at all levels,
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team in a changing environment with application of strong customer service and human resource management skills, and
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable to change whilst supporting a high productive, cohesive and professional workplace culture.
