With your skills and experience, you can contribute to the millions of ways we're enriching health, and develop your career as part of the largest health organisation in Australia.

Achieve Something Great
Make your next career move one that truly elevates your impact. As a Registered Nurse within the Diabetes Centre at South Western Sydney Local Health District, you’ll contribute to a service recognised for its innovation, collaboration, and commitment to person‑centred care. This role offers the chance to work across outpatient clinics, inpatient referral pathways, and the Emergency Department, supporting people living with or at risk of diabetes through every stage of their health journey. You’ll be surrounded by a highly skilled multidisciplinary team—Endocrinologists, Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Consultants, Credentialled Diabetes Educators, Dietitians, Psychologists, and Podiatrists—who value shared expertise and continuous learning. It’s an environment where your clinical strengths will grow, your contributions will matter, and your work will help shape healthier futures.

Are You the Right Fit?
You’ll shine in this role if you bring a blend of clinical confidence, curiosity, and genuine compassion to your practice. We’re seeking a Registered Nurse with acute care experience who delivers safe medication practices, thorough assessments, and high‑quality documentation while taking the time to understand each patient’s goals and challenges. You’re comfortable working across outpatient, inpatient, and ED settings, and you communicate with clarity and empathy in every interaction. If you collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, stay current with evolving diabetes guidelines and technologies, and are motivated by supporting patients through complex health and lifestyle changes, you may be exactly the clinician we’re looking to welcome.

Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.

1. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
2. Demonstrated recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an environment appropriate to the relevant speciality.
3. Demonstrated ability to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive.
4. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs.
5. Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise.
6. Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of evidenced based nursing care.
7. Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace.
