What you'll be doing
As a Registered Nurse – Cardiac Rehabilitation, you’ll play a vital role in supporting patients referred to the cardiac rehabilitation program. You’ll assess, manage, and guide patients through their recovery, ensuring continuity of care and promoting long-term health outcomes.
Assess and manage patients enrolled in cardiac rehab programs
Facilitate access and reduce barriers to participation
Collaborate with referring hospitals, cardiologists, and GPs
Deliver tailored nursing interventions including education, exercise, and counselling
Uphold professional standards and contribute to best practice care

Essential Requirements
Qualification: Post grad qualifications in cardiology/cardiothoracic
Registration: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated relevant and extensive clinical nursing experience as deemed appropriate by WSLHD
Demonstrated competency in Advanced Life Support and ECG/Rhythm analysis
Demonstrated ability to work in a small team environment
Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement through active participation in continuous quality improvement activities
Cultural awareness of population needs/Diverse Language skills is desirable
Experience of previously working in cardiac rehabilitation is an advantage
Willing to join professional association/attend CR clinician certification
