The NSLHD Nursing and Midwifery Workforce will be compassionate, competent, confident, contemporary, capable and committed to leading person-centred health care. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individual/sand the greater health care team to achieve quality patient care outcome. The purpose of the role is to provide safe and quality nursing care to patients, utilising the primary nursing model of care and nursing competency standards. The RN will provide clinical physical and virtual assessments, care planning, case management of each patient to ascertain their care needs,and will regularly evaluate the outcomes of care provided through reviews and assessments, and maintaining up to date and accurate documentation in patient records.
The NSLHD Nursing and Midwifery Workforce will be compassionate, competent, confident, contemporary, capable and committed to leading person-centred health care . A Transitional Nurse Practitioner (TNP) is a registered nurse educated and authorised to function autonomously and collaboratively in an advanced clinical role. The scope of practice of the TNP is determined by the context within which the TNP is to practice. The Transitional Nurse Practitioner has a high degree of systems literacy and can manage care across a variety of health systems to maximise outcomes; TNPs engage in complex and critical thinking; integrate information and/or evidence; judiciously use clinical investigations; optimise medication standing orders; collaborate with senior medical staff over all patient management episodes and skillfully and empathetically communicate with all involved in the care episode, inclusive of the person receiving care, their family and community, and health professional colleagues. The Dermatology Transitional Nurse Practitioner is an expert in dermatology nursing, works within a defined scope of practice and operates at an advanced practice level. They provide evidence-based autonomous clinical care, and possess the knowledge, experience and skills to perform advanced nursing and dermatology specialist tasks including: • Detailed patient skin assessments • Investigative and diagnostic interventions • Advanced wound assessment and management • Biologics medication knowledge and delivery • Minor surgical skills Adult and paediatric dermatologyab

  2. 2. Registered Authorised Nurse Practitioner with APHRA or Registered Nurse undertaking or willing to enrol in a Tertiary Master's Program for Nurse Practitioner to be completed within 3 years. Minimum of 3 years fulltime equivalent advanced nursing practice during the last six years appropriate to the specialty area (or working towards within the next 3 years). In addition the applicant must have an approved postgraduate qualification relevant to the specialty and working towards an NP Masters.
