To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.
- Successful completion of a degree in Medical Radiation Therapy or equivalent qualification recognized by the Australian Institute of Radiography and holder of a validated AHPRA registration and EPA license.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development with recent experience as a Radiation Therapist and a high level understanding of RT principles related to RO CTs.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- Can demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills, both spoken and written including the ability to clearly communicate complex issues to all levels of staff as well as the ability to relate with patients, visitors and the various staff groups within the hospital.
- Demonstrated capacity to supervise, manage, educate, train and objectively assess Radiation Therapists, SPP's and student RT's in current & new practice and technologies and provide advice to remedy deficiencies in knowledge and skills, as well as demonstrated leadership capacity for supervision of & communication with other members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated active participation / involvement in CTs and / or research and development through associated reports, presentations, conferences or workplace in-services.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of CTs and research participation.
- Understanding of principles and practices of both CTs coordinator and radiation therapist to engage with patients/clients and provide high standard care.
