What you'll be doing
Undertake pain training, developing knowledge, skills and attitudes required to provide safe, evidence-based, effective patient care under supervision.
The role includes:
The role includes:
- consultative, diagnostic, procedural, outpatient and on call specialty;
- undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research and supervision, participation in quality activities, professional development and continuing education
- Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the role
- Appropriate experience in the field of pain medicine across the lifespan
- Advanced ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams, including the sharing of appropriate information internally and externally with key persons or services
- Advanced ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills, judgment and expertise.
- Advanced verbal, written and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with other health professionals
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
- Ongoing commitment to further education and professional development and demonstrated ability to teach, and willingness to participate in the teaching of Medical Students, Junior Medical Staff and other clinical staff
- Understanding of research methodology or research experience and a willingness to undertake research proposal.
