What you'll be doing
The Clinical Assurance & Risk Management Lead role will manage and support the application of the processes outlined in the eHealth NSW Clinical Safety Management System. This role will be fully embedded in activities to understand and make assessment of end to end participant journeys that leverage Human Centred Design approaches to identify and analyse causes of hazard in digital systems and transformation programs and recommend preferred risk controls. This will involve working with a range of stakeholders across the health system, including senior clinicians, managers and executive leadership teams to clearly articulate safety arguments for specific programs of work.  


The aim of the Single Digital Patient Record (SDPR) Program is to drive modernisation and streamlining of multitude Clinical Health IT systems through a single platform that enables a consistent experience for patients and clinicians.



  1. Extensive experience and a record of achievement in managing and supporting the investigation of clinical digital safety issues in a dynamic and complex environment with significant exposure to digital health as well as relevant qualifications and/or equivalent experience.
  2. Detailed working knowledge of the health ICT and clinical technology environment, demonstrating a good understanding of clinical information and electronic incident management system concepts and their application in health care, as well as knowledge of clinical practices and laws, regulation and guidelines pertaining to practice standards and regulatory requirements.
  3. Demonstrated understanding or aptitude for managing clinical governance and related safety assurance applying systems engineering principles and related approaches. Experience in developing safety recommendations and influencing their implementation.
  4. Demonstrated excellent communication (written and verbal) skills, ability to create, analyse, interpret and report data/information from a range of sources in the health environment.
  5. Experience in provision of assurance and quality services in large scale program environments.
  6. Experience in facilitating and running workshops, analysing and interpreting qualitative and quantitative information, preparation of reports, understanding the stakeholder environment and providing advice and insight as appropriate.
