Principal Research Officer
Employment type: Full Time, Temporary Employment (up to 18 months)
Remuneration: Crown Clerk Grade 11/12, starting salary from $149,739 - $173,174 p.a. plus super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.
Hours per week: 35 hour working week
About this role
The role will sit within the Mental Health Branch in NSW Health and work closely with the Chief Psychiatrist, NSW Treasury, the Chief Executive and Director of Transformation at the State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) and the Department of Customer Service.
This role will support an exploration and review of mental health factors in the assessment of psychological injury and psychiatric impairment. The Research Officer will assist with research and report writing, ultimately culminating in a report tabled to NSW Parliament. This opportunity may be particularly valuable for someone seeking experience in mental health, assessment of psychological injury in compensable injury, or project-focused work.
About the role
The key focus areas of the role include:
- Research and literature synthesis looking at interjurisdictional and international best practice
- Drafting two interim reports, with the final report to be tabled at Parliament
- Collaborating with other areas of NSW Government, namely NSW Treasury and the Department of Customer Service
