What you'll be doing
To provide operational, professional and strategic leadership in all aspects of service delivery for the Occupational Therapy Department Royal North Shore and Ryde Hospitals.
- Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
- Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy and general registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, with experience as a Level 2 Occupational therapist or above.
- Demonstrated extensive experience and knowledge in clinical governance, quality initiatives and risk management.
- Previous management experience, demonstrating high level of organisational, decision making, written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, change management, policy development, implementation and review and ability to research, interpret and analyse data and develop high level reports.
- Demonstrated experience in effective staff management, supervision and development of staff at all levels
- Proven ability to provide leadership, advanced negotiation skills and the ability to develop and maintain a cohesive department covering multiple clinical units
- Current drivers licence
