To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.

  1. Demonstrated senior nursing experience with experience in leading staff and managing services in a relevant patient flow setting.
  2. Demonstrated ability to provide leadership as a resource person and role model in the clinical setting through the development of professional of relationships.
  3. Demonstrated ability to identify the need for, initiate, evaluate and adjust the development of procedures and guidelines relating to the nursing and midwifery services.
  4. Demonstrated ability to utilise a broad range of communication skills in a variety of settings, ensuring that you are able to effectively represent nursing and midwifery, and collaborate with staff and other health professionals for the best outcomes of the service.
  5. Demonstrated ability to acquire and utilise sound and contemporary knowledge, foster research and apply to nursing and midwifery professional practice, service planning and management strategies.
  6. Demonstrated ability to monitor performance in areas of for both individuals and teams. This includes the ability to undertake a range of performance management activities.
  7. Demonstrated ability to develop an operational plan for the nursing and midwifery service and coordinate the process of organisational change. This may include the ability to develop staffing profiles appropriate to meet service needs and within budgetary parameters, risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace.
  8. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage access and flow performance across a complex acute care hospital setting.
