What you'll be doing
In this dynamic role, you will deliver comprehensive, recovery-focused mental health care to older people living in the community, including those with complex needs such as dementia and behavioural challenges.
Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop collaborative care plans
Deliver evidence-based interventions, care coordination and ongoing support
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and external service providers
Support consumers, families and carers through education and therapeutic interventions
Manage risk, respond to crises and ensure safe, timely care delivery

Essential Requirements:
Qualification: Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist or Social Worker
Registration: Full registration with AHPRA as Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist or Social Worker eligible for membership of AASW
Selection Criteria:
Significant clinical experience in the field of aged care and/or mental health.
Experience and ability to conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including risk assessments, and to develop and implement care plans and interventions in collaboration with consumers and carers.
Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly-developed interpersonal skills with an ability to effectively develop a therapeutic relationship with consumers and carers from diverse backgrounds.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both as a member of a multidisciplinary team and independently.
An understanding of recovery models in mental health and the ability to implement these within clinical practice.
An understanding of the NSW Mental Health Act (2007) and the Guardianship Act (1987).
Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia.
