Position Title: Manager Contracts and Procurement - Strategic
Employment Type: Temporary Full-time (12months with possible extension)
Salary Range: $132,236 - $150,222 per annum + 12% super and benefits (Health Mgr Lvl 3)
Location: NSW Ambulance State Operations Centre, Sydney Olympic Park

Seeking an experienced and motivated Contracts and Procurement Manager to lead high-impact commercial contract management and deliver critical procurement outcomes across our health operations during Maternity leave support for 12 months.


About the Opportunity

In this pivotal role, you'll manage end-to-end strategic contracts, from sourcing to awarding the contract and ensuring value for money, risk mitigation, and strong supplier performance. You’ll work across a range of high-profile procurement activities, driving effective outcomes in a complex, fast-paced and highly regulated environment.

  • Develop and execute contract management plans with clear KPIs, governance structures and risk strategies
  • Provide expert commercial and contractual advice to internal stakeholders
  • Lead complex negotiations for contract renewals, variations, and dispute resolution
  • Build and manage supplier relationships to ensure service level performance and issue resolution
  • Support and coach procurement staff in best-practice contract and supplier management
  • Ensure compliance with government procurement policies and health sector standards
  • Lead policy reviews, contribute to continuous improvement and uplift procurement maturity across NSW Ambulance
  • Engage with a wide network of stakeholders including NSW Health, HealthShare, vendors, and government partners
     

About You

You're a proactive and results-driven contract management professional with:

  • Desirable tertiary qualifications in procurement, contract management, supply chain, business or finance (or relevant work experience)
  • Broad experience across procurement lifecycle, especially within government, health, or emergency services sectors
  • Strong understanding of NSW government procurement policy and frameworks
  • Experience in risk management for complex contractual arrangements
  • Proven ability to build relationships, influence outcomes, and support operational teams
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to advise, negotiate, and report at an executive level
