Remuneration: $11.73 - $20.32 per hour
Hours Per Week: 38

What you'll be doing
This is a temporary full-time position, to gain a well-trained and educated dental assistant providing dental care within the limits of their Education whilst working towards competency in Dental Assisting under the direction and supervision of Education Coordinators.
The Dental Assistant Trainee will undertake educational and clinical experience within all aspects of Dentistry including but not limited to Chairside Assisting, Management of Infection Control, Instrument Preparation, Dental Charting, Sterilisation and Patient Care.
Essential Criteria:
Qualification: Minimum Year 10 School Education or above
Evidence of Diversity claim: Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
Selection Criteria:
- This is an Identified Aboriginal/ Torres Strait Islander Position. Applicants for this position must be of Aboriginal descent through percentage, identification as being Aboriginal and being accepted in the community as such.
- Minimum Year 10 School Education or above, not holding a certificate III and who are not already under a traineeship program.
- A willingness to complete a certificate III in Dental Assisting qualifications within 12 months.
- Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to independently undertake tasks once delegated.
- Ability to work across multiple dental clinics within WSLHD.
