What you'll be doing
Works with the Director of Communications, executive leaders and stakeholders across Southern NSW Local Health District and the wider community to provide strategic leadership, coordination and delivery of community engagement, volunteer and spiritual care activities.
This includes developing and implementing frameworks, plans and advice that enable meaningful participation, foster trust and partnership with communities and support cohesive, patient centred service delivery aligned to SNSWLHD and NSW Health strategic objectives.

Selection Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, network and consult effectively with members of the community, community groups, media, senior management, health professionals and Government agencies at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and support of community engagement, volunteering, and spiritual care activities across an organisation within a climate of change and within a fixed budget, evidencing understanding of relevant legislation, current policy and practices.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal, negotiation, conflict resolution, liaison and communication skills, including experience appropriately representing an organisation to a variety of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to use humour appropriately, combined with creativity and innovative thinking, to motivate others and foster strong engagement within the community.
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills including committee experience involving report writing, secretariat support, and senior leadership and ministerial requirements, along with content creation suitable for a range of communication platforms.
- Demonstrated capacity to initiate service change in an environment with competing and complex priorities.
- Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers’ licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to travel as required, including long distances and overnight stays.
