Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) Eating Disorder Service

What you'll be doing
The position is responsible for delivering a virtual and direct clinical psychology service to consumers of the Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) Virtual Eating Disorder Service. This includes individual treatment, use of e-therapies, facilitation of group treatment models, facilitation of carer support groups and to contribute to the ongoing development of the Virtual Eating Disorder Service model of care. 
  
The position also provides consultation and supervision to NSLHD clinicians including generalist inpatient and community services on assessment, clinical management, treatment and discharge planning relating to Eating Disorders.  

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply. 

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria: 

  1. A four year degree in Psychology, being a three year degree with a fourth year honours in Psychology (or qualifications deemed equivalent by the Health Administration Corporation of NSW) plus a post-graduate degree at the masters level or higher in Clinical Psychology from a recognised university or working towards same. Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with eligibility for membership of the Australian Psychological Society College of Clinical Psychologists or Registration with the Psychologists Registration Board of NSW.
  2. Demonstrated ability to deliver a variety of therapeutic counselling models for effective treatment of consumers and their families, including telehealth and virtual models of care; trauma informed care; skill in working with adults, young people as individuals and children and families; and delivery of group therapy. Demonstrated ability to liaise and consult with health, education and welfare professionals involved in the management of consumers.
  3. Demonstrated experience in providing supervision, consultation and education to a variety of health care clinicians in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of consumers with eating disorders.
