To provide accurate, timely, high quality coded data of complex inpatient separations from any or all of the hospitals within the Illawarra Shoalhaven LHD using the current edition of ICD-10-AM, ACHI, and the Australian Coding Standards in order to meet Activity based Funding (ABF) targets, ISLHD reporting timeframes, provide data for research, planning and financial management.

ISLHD is seeking competent and experienced Clinical Coders. These positions are negotiable, Part Time and Full Time as well as the possibility to work from home will be considered.

Wollongong Hospital is the Illawarra Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.
