What you'll be doing
The Simulation Coordinator role will work as part of a team to develop and implement high and low fidelity simulation-based education to enhance patient safety and quality in health care delivery. The coordination role will involve contributing to the strategic direction for clinical/simulation training across the District. The role will coordinate the development, delivery, and evaluation of clinical/simulation educational programs for both hospital-based staff and undergraduate students at Gosford and Wyong Hospitals.
- A Registered Nurse/Midwife, with current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration.
- Relevant post graduate critical care nursing and/or educational qualifications relevant to the clinical area.
- Knowledge of and experience with inter-professional education, simulation, simulated patients, and clinical skills training; and how to embed these modalities into effective training programs.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders including evidence of being highly organised with proven ability to plan, coordinate and evaluate training programs
- Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills and an ability to work autonomously and independently within a multidisciplinary framework
- Demonstrated knowledge and competence in the use of simulation-based operations, services, and technologies, including audio visual systems; and a proficiency in general computer applications e.g. Microsoft programs.
- Demonstrated understanding of how the District is Caring for the Coast and how this role would contribute.
