What you'll be doing
The position is responsible for the provision of financial and analysis functions for NSLHD’s capital and procurement management functions, excluding Public Private Partnerships.
The role is responsible for managing the financial aspects and impact of capital projects, capital funding allocation and identifying and managing sources of capital funds in conjunction with the Ministry of Health.
The role works closely with the District’s Procurement team, supporting financial analysis of spend categories and validating savings projects across the District.
The position works closely with the Director Corporate Services and capital and procurement departments within the District, and reports to the Finance Directorate.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrated understanding of strategic procurement spend analysis and government procurement policy and processes.
- A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business or Commerce, and/ or met the requirements for membership of a recognised Australian professional accounting body or a combination of study and/or work experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of the NSW health system capital funding model and relevant accounting standards and NSW Health asset policies.
