Where you'll be working

Boggabri Multi-Purpose Service (MPS) sits in northwest NSW, just 1.5 hours from Tamworth in a welcoming rural town of around 1,000 people. The service includes 16 Residential Aged Care beds, 4 acute care beds and a 2-bed Emergency Department, staffed by a close-knit team of Registered Nurses (RNs), Endorsed Enrolled Nurses (EENs), Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs). Together, this creates a family-like environment where your care has immediate, visible impact.

About the role

As an Assistant in Nursing (AIN), you'll provide essential personal care to residents including showering, toileting, feeding and daily living support, while also assisting community clients receiving aged care packages in their homes. You'll work under RN direction in both residential and outreach settings, helping maintain comfort, dignity and wellbeing across diverse care needs. Reporting to nursing leadership, this hands-on role lets you connect meaningfully with patients and families in a small, responsive rural service.

About you

You're a kind, patient AIN with a strong work ethic and efficiency, able to work confidently both independently and within a team. You bring genuine compassion to personal care and thrive in close-knit rural healthcare.

You bring:

  • Certificate III Assistant in Nursing or currently enrolled in an undergraduate Registered Nursing degree (completion of first year and first semester or trimester of second year), or currently enrolled in a TAFE NSW Diplomas of Nursing (completion of identified foundational units in practice AND 120 hours of clinical placement).
  • Strong work ethic, kindness and patience in personal care delivery
  • Efficiency managing daily resident and community care tasks
  • Ability to work well without constant direction
  • Team-oriented approach supporting residents' comfort and dignity

These qualities will help you excel in Boggabri's supportive rural team, with initial buddying alongside another AIN following comprehensive orientation.
