Provisional Fellows in Paediatric Palliative Care Medicine are appointed to either The Children’s Hospital Westmead or Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick. Some positions require training on both sites which will be detailed as part of the individual statement of duties. At times trainees may be requested to provide clinical support across The Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network.

The Provisional Fellow position provides Advanced Trainees an opportunity to further their training, developing skills important for a consultant role in the spheres of clinical care, education and training as well as research with support from the team consultants and other health care professionals. The Provisional Fellow role is a leadership role, both within the department for other junior medical staff and medical students as well as members of the multidisciplinary team, but also across the broader hospital community.
