Seeking a Level 3 Social Work Senior Clinician with advanced skills to provide complex, high-level care, leadership, and quality improvement across WSLHD.

Remuneration: $56.68 - $58.52 per hour
Hours Per Week: 38

Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Cumberland and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. This position will have recognised high level clinical skills in social work and is able to perform novel, complex and critical clinical services to clients, families and carers in a community health setting.
This Level 3 Social Work Senior Clinician is able to demonstrate advanced reasoning skills on circumstances of a complex nature requiring advanced practice skills, operates autonomously with minimum direct clinical supervision and has a consultative role within their area of speciality.
They are involved with planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting on clinical services and are involved in the implementation of WSLHD protocols, quality improvement initiatives, policies and procedures.
The position is expected to work from different locations across WSLHD as reasonably responsible.

- Qualification: Degree in Social Work with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Work
Selection Criteria:
- Degree in Social Work with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Work with demonstrated high level clinical experience or understanding of the needs of clients with complex health needs from a social work lens.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience or capability in developing and implementing policies and procedures for service improvement, and in providing training and education with experience in staff and/or student supervision.
- Well-developed time management skills with excellent written and verbal communication, including report writing skills.
- Demonstrated experience in quality assurance and / or clinical practice improvement activities.
- Demonstrated ability to work with consumers, families and carers in a time of high levels of family stress.
- Good computer skills, including experience using Cerner eMR or equivalent.
- Drivers license valid within Australia and willingness to use for work purposes.
