What you'll be doing
The primary objectives of the position is to support a 24 hour security service for the protection of staff, patients and visitors from harm, the protection of the hospital assets and the maintenance of an acceptable level of order, control and safety.
The Security Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and facilitating a security staff and system that meets its legal obligations to provide a safe environment to patients, staff, visitors, vendors and consumers of Fairfield campus.

- Demonstrated strong experience in a team management role particularly in the supervising of staff, workforce planning and resources and any staff related matters arising.
- Demonstrated experience in decision making that relate to daily operational workforce planning needs, with the ability to prioritise resource allocation.
- Hold a Current Class 1, Subclasses A, current Senior First Aid Certificate and current unrestricted Australian drivers licence
- Experience in managing security issues and a sound understanding of alarm systems, access control systems, CCTV, fire indication panels, de-escalation and aggression minimization strategies.
- Experience in managing security issues and strong interpersonal communication, negotiation, influencing and motivational skills which demonstrate a capacity to build and maintain relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to develop security policy/procedures/guidelines, staff training programs, security awareness programs, risk minimization strategies and monitor their effectiveness.
- Demonstrated time management skills and capacity to delivery high quality business correspondence and responses within agreed timeframes
- Proven excellent verbal interpersonal and written communication skills, with reporting writing including demonstrated experience in customer service, conflict resolution and the ability to influence and negotiate in challenging situations
