This position will lead, guide and manage the Service Line and implement high levels of clinical expertise in order to provide high quality care to patients of St George Hospital consistent with NSW Health and SESLHD policies, procedures and standards.
This position is a member of the Service Line executive team and is required to lead and manage the development, and implementation of strategies, plans, systems and procedures to minimise risk exposure, improve the organisational performance of the service line and ensure compliance with statutory, industrial requirements and Government policy.

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in health service management with a clinical background or relevant equivalent work experience in clinical operations, or a combination of study and work experience
- Demonstrated ability to develop, direct, lead and motivate a team in the achievement of organisational goals
- Demonstrated conceptual and innovative problem solving skills for managing conflicting priorities and developing, implementing and monitoring recommendations and advice on policies, strategies and solutions across complex areas
- Demonstrated ability to manage human, financial and physical resources effectively and efficiently to ensure budget and performance targets are met
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in change management and managing projects with multiple groups of stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal communication, verbal and written skills and demonstrated ability to consult, influence and negotiate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Current drivers’ licence (with a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position)
