What you'll be doing
The vision for South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is ‘exceptional care, healthier lives’. SESLHD is committed to enabling our community to be healthy and well, and to providing the best possible compassionate care when people need it.  

The Unit brings together key functions that monitor, analyse and report on organisational performance. The Unit manages information systems relating to performance, outputs and outcomes of the organisation.  

The purpose of this position is to provide leadership, guidance and advice on all matters relating to casemix, product costing, activity measurement and funding models, and to develop and manage an education process to ensure that
SESLHD Executive and networks are appropriately informed and involved in clinical costing, episode funding and
activity matters.
 
  1. Demonstrated in-depth understanding of health data systems, particularly those relating to patient care, funding and costing and an ability to analyse data and other information;
  2. Demonstrated working knowledge of casemix, product costing, resource allocation and funding models, and their applications to health service management;
  3. Demonstrated working experience with PPM or an equivalent Costing System.
  4. Demonstrated advanced computer skills required to manipulate and analyse large amounts of data using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and the Health Information Exchange (HIE);
  5. Excellent oral communication skills with the ability to present to clinical and non clinical audiences;
  6. Demonstrated high-level conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills;
