The Role

SESLHD Drug and Alcohol Service (DAS) offers a range of treatment and support services for people with problems from their alcohol, prescription or illicit drug use, and/or their families and carers. Outpatient D&A services are located in clinics at the Langton Centre in Surry Hills, St George Hospital in Kogarah, and Caringbah Community. Health Centre at Sutherland Hospital. Inpatient D&A services are provided at Sydney Hospital, Prince of Wales, St. George and Sutherland Hospitals.
The position provides efficient and timely administrative support to Drug & Alcohol Clinical units, the unit manager and clinical team. This includes front-of-house reception duties such as responding to telephone and in-person enquiries, providing NSP equipment to clients, general office and data entry duties.

Selection Criteria
- Ability to perform a wide range of administrative tasks in a demanding work environment.
- High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective organisational skills with the ability to use initiative to problem solve and maintain attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with the capacity to work under pressure, determine work priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in a team environment with a flexible approach to rostering requirements.
- Demonstrated computer literacy in the use of computer software applications and electronic systems.
