  1. Working towards tertiary qualifications in Public Health / communicable diseases / infection control or relevant work experience, and an understanding of Public Health response and health system.
  2. Demonstrated problem solving skills in a fast paced, challenging environment.
  3. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and skill in history-taking and interviewing.
  4. Proficient in the use of computers, particularly use of databases and spreadsheets, and the ability to learn new computer software/systems quickly.
  5. Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing environments and have a flexible approach to manage change.
  6. Demonstrated ability to provide accurate information and have strong attention to detail.
  7. Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality of clients and the handling of sensitive information.
  8. Willingness to work flexible hours as required.
