Are you a Registered Nurse with Paediatric training, or one who is seeking clinical skills and knowledge in Paediatrics.

Motivated Registered Nurses wanted to join the dynamic team of C3West, the Medical unit at Sydney Children's Hospital.

C3West is a 24 bed, mixed specialty ward. It comprises of 8 negative pressure isolation rooms and 16 short stay medical beds.

Suitable applicants will be enrolled into the Transition to Paediatrics Nursing Program. We offer a supportive learning environment to care for patients aged 0-16 years. 

Recent clinical experience in an acute hospital setting is required. Full time and part time applicants will be considered.

Sydney Children's Hospital is located on the Randwick Health Campus, within walking distance to beaches, cafes and shopping centres. The CBD and airport are nearby, connected by light rail and bus routes.

What you'll be doing
The Registered Nurse provides safe, compassionate, person-centred care to patients and families of Sydney Children's Hospital Network. 
The Registered Nurse acts as a role model by demonstrating behaviour and interacting with patients, their families and employees in a way that promotes a culture and standards that reflect the NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness , Respect and Empowerment.

Selection Criteria

  1. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  4. Recent paediatric experience as a registered nurse in a hospital setting.
  5. Effective time management skills
  6. Computer literacy.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA).

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
