What you'll be doing
You will be responsible for entering all patients onto the hospitals Waiting List using the Patient Management System (PM) as well as scheduling surgery and procedures onto the theatre booking system ( Surginet). You will be required to liaise with a wide range of staff including doctors and nurses and confirm with parents their child’s admission to hospital and attendances to pre-admission clinic. To work as a team member and offer a customer focused service.  You will be required to understand and follow the NSW Health policy, “Waiting Time and Elective Patient Management Policy” when managing data entry of the hospital’s waiting list.

  1. Demonstrated understanding of Waiting Time and Elective Patient Management Policy.
  2. Completion of or willing to undertake Certificate III in Health Administration.
  3. Previous hospital or medical clerical experience ideally within the management of elective patient management.
  4. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  5. Demonstrated customer service, conflict management and problem solving skills.
  6. Excellent time management and organisational skills. This includes the ability to manage competing demands.
  7. Excellent data entry accuracy and attention to detail skills.
