- A teacher who has satisfactorily completed a Three Years full-time course of study in Early Childhood Education at a Recognised Teacher Training Institution or Bachelor of Education (4 years) with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate
- Current NSW Drivers Licence
- Experience with children with specific learning needs
- Experience with children and families with social problems
- Completed mandatory Child Protection training
