What you'll be doing
In this hands-on and varied role, you will support the delivery of safe and effective patient care through patient transport, manual handling and operational support across the hospital.
• Transport patients safely between wards and departments
• Assist with lifting, positioning and transferring patients using equipment
• Support clinical teams with movement of equipment, specimens and items
• Maintain a clean, safe environment including mortuary duties as required
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients, staff and visitors

Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills with patients, visitors, staff and managers.
Demonstrated knowledge of Manual Handling and Infection control principles.
Ability to maintain safe work practice, adhering to WHS policies and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse and physically challenging position/workload.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to read and write in English.
Ability to use electronic devices as part of the Wardspersons Department's tasking system.
Capacity to work under supervision and/or independently and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective team member.
