What you'll be doing
In this hands-on role, you will provide essential support to nursing and clinical teams to ensure patients receive safe, timely and respectful care.
• Transport patients safely via bed, trolley or wheelchair
• Assist with patient care tasks and daily living activities
• Support mortuary duties including preparation and transfers
• Move equipment, specimens and documents across the hospital
• Maintain safe work practices and contribute to infection control

Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills with patients, visitors, staff and managers.
Demonstrated knowledge of Work Health and Safety, Manual Handling and Infection control principles.
Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse and physically challenging position/workload.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients, including ability to read and write in English.
Ability to complete tasks either in a team environment or unsupervised all within a measurable timeframe.
Able to do a rotating roster.
